We are situated on the main route through the high Burren, between 8 and 9 miles from every village on the edge of the Burren (Kilfenora, Corofin, Ballyvaughan, New Quay,Tubber, Kinvara). This explains why Carron has always been known as the Heart of the Burren.

Carron is the ideal location to begin or end a Burren walk, there is plenty of safe parking facilities and childrens play area, and a three minute walk will take you to the top of the Burren with views over all of Clare, Galway Bay and City, Connemara, and into Kerry.Or you can take a 3,5,9,16,or 20km walk or cycle through many of the famous Burren attractions in the area.
